Underpass by Willy Wallderpere for Dior Homme

Underpass es el nuevo filme que dirige Willy Waldenperre para la maison Dior Homme que, como todos sabéis, capitanea desde hace años Kris Van Assche, el diseñador que tomó el relevo de Hedi Slimane, actual director creativo de Saint Laurent. El caso es que, aunque Kris nunca ha estado en mi top 5 de creadores favoritos, tengo que reconcoer que me está ganado con el tiempo sobre todo con su buen hacer en las prendas de vestir, y con las impecables piezas de sastrería. Prendas que ejecuta a la perfección y que suele combinar con otras de aire más deportivo, un mix que da un resultado muy contemporáneo a la par que moderno y nada forzado. Este mini filme que hoy os presentó se acaba de estrenar y la verdad capta a la perfección el estilo de la colección y, además, da una nueva vida a las prendas que también un nuevo sentido. Ben Allen y Janis Ancens ponen las caras en este minifilm con la música psicoélica y misteriosa de la banda británica Spaceman 3.

Underpass is the new short movie that Willy Walderperre directs for the maison Dior Homme who, like everybody know, is currently directed by Kris Van Assche, the designer who took over from Hedi Slimane, the current creative director of Saint Laurent. Anyway, I have not been a huge  Kris fan, in fact he has never been in my top 5 favourites designers, but I do have to recognise that, lately, I'm loving his designs, specially the tailoring pieces that he is designing for the brand. Garments that he combines with other more sporty pieces in a very modern and contemporary way. This mini film that has just been premièred, perfectly captures the style of the collection and, moreover, gives a new life to the garments, and also a new direction or interpretation. Ben Allen and Janis Ancens put the faces on this short movie with the dark and mysterious music by the British band Spaceman 3.
